Using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) women's football is an evidence-based approach to enhancing mental performance, reducing anxiety, and improving physical skills under pressure. Studies specifically on female football players have shown that brief, 10-minute tapping sessions can improve goal-scoring ability and significantly increase confidence levels.

Beyond Fitness: While physical training is paramount, emotional health is a growing priority. High-stakes competition, injury, and selection issues contribute to significant mental challenges for female players, sometimes leading to burnout.

The Role of Support: Resilience in women’s football is heavily dependent on support structures, such as sport psychology services, which are being made mandatory in many leagues to help players manage intense pressures. EFT can support these services for 'in the momnet' therapy.

Mental Toughness & Mindfulness: Players  can use mindfulness and self-awareness to cope with stress,  elite players have opened up about overcoming depression and injury to thrive.
